The International Coaching Federation defines coaching as “Partnering in a thought-provoking and creative process to maximize personal and professional potential.” A coach partners with you on what you want to achieve.
Therapy focuses on healing through review of our life stories, thoughts and feelings. Coaching focuses on moving forward in physical reality by taking action. Emotions can come up in both types of support. Trained coaches will tell you if something is outside of their scope of expertise and support you to find a therapist if needed.
